The letter is typed on a letter head paper of the Rabbi, bearing the date Sunday of Chikas 1935, addressed to the veteran Chassid Rabbi David Farkovitz, a great Chasid of Modzitz in Jerusalem, and this was written at the time of the historical visit of the Rabbi in Tel Aviv. The visit that was the headline at that time among the many religious Jews in the new settlement.

This holy letter, besides of its importants for its words of Chassidut with the Holy Rabbi's signature, is a rare historical document which quickly led to the significant founding of the Chassidei Modzitz in the holy city of Jerusalem, from which the Chassidut and beautiful generations of Chassidim emerged.

Hrh"k Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazer the 'Imrei Shaul' of Modzitz [1886-1947], The second Rabbi of the Holy Modzitz courtyard, from the great leaders of the generation before WWII and thereafter. He was the son of Hrh"k Rabbi Yisrael, the founder of the Holy Modzitz dynasty, grandson of Hrh"k Rabbi Yechezkel of Kozmir.
In his days many flocked to his holy courtyard in the vacation city of 'Otwock', many thousand arrived to bask in his light and obtain holy inspiration from the famous and warm songs of Avodat Hashem, which he composed by the hundred and thousands.
His Yeshiva 'Tiferet Yisrael' drew hundreds of youths from all over Poland, who learned and grew in Torah and Chassidut by the Modzitz ways. He was a member of the Moetzet Gedolai Hatorah and from the heads of Agudat Yisrael.
During the WWII, this magnificent courtyard was destroyed, as the Rabbi himself escaped at the last moment to Vilna and from there to the United States through Japan. When he was in Vilna, he led the efforts to rescue thousands of Yeshiva youths who escaped from there, and he met many times with the Russian authorities in order to save and free them.
Chassidim of Modzitz were left in the holy city of Jerusalem, and in Tel Aviv, thanks to his four historical visits to Israel, 1925, 1935, 1938, 1947.
