Ben-Tzion Wax was born in Tel Aviv in 1936. He was one of the biggest collectors in Israel.  He started collecting stamps at age 10, then coins, banknotes, famous signatures/autographs, art, judaica, old books, silver, and items pertaining to pre-State Israel.  Wax even collected unique birds, massive fish tanks and more.

In 1983 he moved with his family to Ramot HaShavim. Ben-Tzion Wax died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2017, in the backyard of his home, among the animals he took care of and loved.

Three items related to Eliezer Ben Yehuda and Hemda Ben Yehuda, his second wife (she was the sister of Devora, Eliezer's first wife). 1. A signed and handwritten post card from Hemda Ben Yehuda, from 1933. Hemda Ben Yehuda was a writer, journalist. 2. In 1932, Hemda wrote a book about the life of Eliezer Ben Yehuda titled "The happy Warrior". 3. A commemorative First Day Issue, Eliezer Ben Yehuda stamp, marking 100 years of his birthday. It is stamped with the date 25.11.59 The stamp is inside a decorative card with a large drawing of Eliezer Ben Yehuda on the cover.
