"Letter of receipt and gratitude" - receipt and honorary certificate to the president and administrator of the Holy Land rabbi Avraham Isaac Daniel, by the heads of Kollel Romania in Jerusalem, Safed and Tiberius. Safed, 1906.

Letter of gratitude and blessing to Rabbi Avraham Isaac Daniel the president and administrator of the Holy Land [in Jassy, Romania] for a donation of 660 Frank from the estate of Mrs. Rivkah Weksler, which were distributed among the needy of Jerusalem, Safed and Tiberius. With blessings to the donor and his family. Signed by six of the seven "Tovei HaIr" and leading rabbis of Safed.

[1] leaf, 27 cm. The name of the donor and his title were emphasized with calligraphic gilt lettering.
Signed by six rabbis of Kollel Romania: Rabbi David Segal, Rabbi Nechemia Segal, Rabbi Zvi the grandson of the Rav of Romania, Rabbi Yisroel Mordechai Berliner, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Markowitz and Rabbi Yaakov Gotlieb. For the validity of the document, the following added their signatures and stamps: Rabbi Raphael Zilberman Av Beis Din of Safed and Rabbi Shlomo Chakim Chacham Bashi of Safed. With the stamp of Kollel Romania and an additional stamp in a foreign language.

Rabbi Raphael Zilberman (1841-1918) Rav of the Ashkenazic community of Safed. Was born in Uman and immigrated to Erezt Yisroel in 1850. A disciple of his father Rabbi Mordechai who was the Rav of Uman and later of Safed. Since 1860 served as the Dayan of the Ashkenazic community of Safed and since 1872, succeeded his father as the Rav of Safed.
Rabbi Shlomo ben Rabbi Yosef Yehuda Chakim, Dayan of the Beis Din of Safed who succeeded his father as the Chacham Bashi of the town. Was killed in a train accident in Egypt in 1907.

Fold marks, a tiny tear along the fold line, a tiny perforation to the side of the leaf, some minor stains, very good condition.
