Historical! Conference of the Rabbis of Chabad for consulting after the passing of the Rebbe Rayatz! An invitation letter that was sent by important Chabad-Lubavitch rabbis to the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Landau the Rav of Bnei Berak, inviting him to participate in the conference which will determine the leadership of Chabad after the passing of the Rebbe Rayatz. 1950.
The important historical letter is signed by the Chassidic Geonim Rabbi Shlomo Yosef Zwein author of 'HaMo'adim BaHalacha' and other Seforim and the editor of the Talmudic encyclopedia, Rabbi Avraham Chaim Na'eh author of 'HaShi'urim' and Rabbi Azriel Zelig Slonim the manager of Kollel Chabad.
The letter was sent on the fourth of Adar and is the first letter known of about the organization of Chabad Chassidim after the passing of the Rebbe Rayatz. 'We see great necessity in our people in the Holy land joining us in Jerusalem to consult...' The phrasing of the letter clearly indicates that the conference focused on continuing the presidency after the passing of the Rebbe Rayatz and not only on the managing of Chabad institutions in Eretz Yisroel.
