The rabbinate of Bnei Berak! Important and interesting letter by the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Leib Landau Rav Av Beis Din of Bnei Berak to Maran Amud HaHora'ah author of Sheves Halevi.
Letter by the great Gaon the Rav of Bnei Berak Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Leib Landau, during his first term as Rav, after the passing of his father the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Landau, when his position as his father's successor was being disputed, to Maran the great Gaon author of Sheves Halevi Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner, in which he apologizes for publications in the HaModi'ah newspaper according to which 'Maran Rabbi Wosner accepted the authority of the Rav' [referring to Rabbi Landau].
Rabbi Landau regrets the publication and asks that it be corrected. 'I am sure that his failure shall not dampen the friendship of Keter HaTorah with which I am blessed and which I deeply appreciate'.
Rabbi Landau again thanks the steadfastness of Maran the author of Sheves Halevi for his rabbinate, writing: "For Emes and Sholom and for Kevod Shamayim".
