Letter with a Request for Assistance from [1928] by Rabbi Eliyahu Rosen, the Rav of Oświęcim (Auschwitz), on the Sefer of His Father: She'agas Aryeh and Be'er Avraham. Husiatyn, [1905]. "Please be kind to him and support him towards the upcoming holy days ... it truly pertains to Piku'ach Nefashos!"

She'agas Aryeh and Be'er Avraham, eulogy, Drush and innovations by Rabbi Avraham Aryeh Rosen Av Beis Din of Moinesht. P. Kavalek Press, Husiatyn, [1905]. With the author's stamps and the stamps of his son Rabbi Eliyahu Rosen Av Beis Din of Oświęcim (Auschwitz), who added and wrote a letter on the Sefer calling for help. Elul, [1928]. 


[2], 72 leaves, on the title page, rabbi Eliyahu Rosen wrote his address, his request for assistance and reference to the detailed letter he had added on the last leaf of the Sefer. 


Rabbi Eliyahu Rosen, ben Rabbi Avraham Aryeh Leib was born in ca. 1890. He was a diligent and consistent scholar, a modest man who was satisfied with little. Served as rav in the Sien communities of Germany and in Oświęcim (Auschwitz), Galicia. Author of Sefer "Divrei Eliyahu" on Tractate Berachos, and Sefer "Peh Eliyahu". Additional Seforim he authored were lost in the Holocaust, including Shut Minchas Eliyahu (two sections), Zichron Eliyahu on Hilchos Treifos, Pnei Eliyahu on tractates of the Shas, Kol Eliyahu Drushim (four sections), Beis Eliyahu and Toras HaTzava, on the Torah. In 1943 he perished in the Holocaust with his family. 


Aging stains, fold mark and a tear along one of the leaves not affecting the text. Good condition.
