Yehuda Leib Gordon, Yalag, (1830-1892), one of the greatest Hebrew poets of the Jewish Enlightenment Movements and its speaker. Was trained as a teacher at the Beis Midrash for rabbis in Vilna and worked as one for many years. Since 1872 was the secretary of the community of St. Petersburg and the manager of the "Mefitzei Haskalah BeYisroel" company. 

moth holes, [2] last leaves are detached, aging stains, some tears and gluing. Gluing of poems and newspaper excerpts on the inside binding, on the flyleaves and on the leaves of the book. Fair-good condition.

100, [2] pp. 20 cm. Bound at the end of the book is a leaf with an English dedication to the High Commissioner Herbert Samuel. [1] leaf with a Hebrew version of this dedication is missing. 

Ephraim Gershon Deinard (1846-1930) a bibliographer, Hebrew and Yiddish writer, collector and book dealer, publisher and forger of books. He took trips around the world. collecting ancient Hebrew books and manuscripts and using them for his studied. Published dozens of titles. 

A tear to the title page not affecting the text, [1] missing leaf, some minor aging stains, good general condition.
