A complete copy of R. Wolf Heidenheim’s Passover Haggadah, printed at his printing press at Roedelheim in 1822. With his classic Judeo-German translation.
This edition is from the most rare and most well received editions of Heidenheim’s Haggados.
This Haggadah was reprinted several times in different years. Our copy is the first edition, printed by Wolf Heidenheim himself, at his very own printing press.
Another later edition recently sold at Israel-based
Genazym Auction House, sale 9, lot 12. Although that edition featured Heidenheim’s Judeo-German translation, it was not actually printed by Heidenheim himself, but by a local printer in Roedelheim.
Heidenheim’s works printed at his own printing press, like this copy, are rare and uncommon.
In very good condition. Light water stains, wine stains to many leaves. Bound in a new, half-leather binding.
