Antisemitic Poster - 'Jews Out!' - Albert Einstein [Germany, 1930s]

Antisemitic poster - the figure of Albert Einstein as representing the Jews and a German soldier pointing his finger 'out', below the antisemitic caption in German: "! ... Juden ... 'rraus .." -' "Jews out". Print: "Groene Amsterdammer" At the top of the poster to the right is printed the antisemitic sentence encouraging Jewish migration outside the gates of Germany: "Ten bate van het financieele comite voor de joodsche viuchtelinge" - "For the benefit of the Jewish Refugee Finance Committee". [Germany, 1930s].

The use of Albert Einstein as a representative of the Jews was made not by chance. The Jewish scientist who bought his world name even before the Nazis came to power in Germany, was like a thorn in the side of Nazi ideology campaigners and heads of the Nazi regime. Einstein was personally persecuted by them. At the time of Hitler's rise to power in 1933, Einstein was on a lecture tour of the United Kingdom. A year later, the Nazis looted his property, took his job from him and also denied his citizenship. Many countries offered him asylum. Einstein eventually decided to immigrate to the United States, and never returned to Germany.
