'Sefer HaMiddot' by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. Early and Extremely Rare Edition

"The book is a good friend! This book made me a Jew!" (From the words of Mohara"n of Breslov)

Sefer HaMiddot - with the Shemot HaTzaddikim compilation in the margins - these are two segulah books authored by Mohara"n of Breslov and their power has been revealed to enact changes in Ma'aseh Bereishit - that is, to alter nature! Printed without the name or place of printing [Zolkiew/Lemberg, c. 1840]. Extremely rare. Complete copy. (The copy in the Gershon Scholem Library is incomplete.)

Early copy of the two important and renowned books by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov: Sefer HaMiddot - about which Mohara"n said, "The book is a good friend! This book made me a Jew!" and regarding the book Shemot HaTzaddikim, Rabbi Nachman wrote in Sefer HaMiddot (entry: Tzaddik Part II, 20) "By mentioning Shemot HaTzaddikim, one can make a change in Ma'aseh Bereishit - that is, to alter nature."

As stated, the book was printed without the name or place of print (as were many Breslov books of the 19th century, due to internal and external persecution, as is known) and bibliographers were perplexed as to how to record it. Scholar G. Scholem in his book Eleh Shemot (p. 23, no. 75) wrote that this edition was printed in Zolkiew or in Lemberg between 1846 and 1855, R. N. Tz. Koenig, in his book Neve Tzaddikim (p. 62) wrote that this edition was printed in Zolkiew in 1849. The National Library lists: Zolkiew or Lemberg, c. 1855.
