Edwin Salomon (1935 - 2014) was a painter and teacher of Israeli art. Salomon was born in 1935 in Romania. He studied at the Yun Andreasco Plastic Arts Institute in Cluj-Napoca, and in 1957 he was awarded the MA in Art. He immigrated to Israel in 1961. In 1965 he studied at the Sorbonne.
Edwin Salomon has conducted solo and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad and his works are exhibited in museums around the world.
Salomon won the Nordau Prize,
The Bible Prize from the Bible Museum in Tel Aviv,
The Gillot Dart Prize for his artistic achievements in painting,
In 1990 he won a silver medal at an international exhibition in Torun, France,
And in 1997 he received the Holon Honors
