Ori Reisman (1924-1991), an Israeli painter.

He was born on Kibbutz Tel Yosef. As a child, his family moved to Tel Aviv and after that to Paris for two years. In his youth, he studied painting in Yitzhak Frankel's studio.

In the early 1950s, he lived in Paris, where he studied art. Upon his return to Israel, he set up a studio in an abandoned building on the edge of the Kibbutz Kabri in the Western Galilee.

Reisman painted in oils and depicted landscapes, portraits, and stills; Many of his paintings centered around Kibbutz Kabri: landscapes and portraits of kibbutz members. His portraits are characterized by acute coloration, the earlier ones expressive in character, and later the absence of the face. Its landscapes are characterized by bright, bold surfaces that are clearly defined.

Reisman began exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions. Between 1971 and 1972 he resided in Paris. In 1974 he was invited to join the "Climate" group. Although he exhibited his work in many exhibitions, Reisman worked most of his life on the margins of the Israeli art world. In the early 1980s, his work began to be exposed in the Israeli art world.

In 1987 he stopped drawing, after being released from hospitalization.
