An interesting letter by Ze'ev Jabotinsky. Paris 1926

Letter in the handwriting and signature of Ze'ev Jabotinsky [by his foreign name 'Vladimir Jabotinsky'] during his stay in Paris as director of "Hevrat HaSefer" Company Ltd. June 14, 1926.

In his letter, Jabotinsky addresses Dr. Marciano and introduces him to Mr. Castel: "... he knows and understands the Arab spirit to such an extent that only a few like him among our statesmen. His political advice always excels in far-sightedness and great caution ... he knows many languages, and he is honest man, a diligent worker and what the English call "Bar Samcha" ... and recommends him for appointment as a responsible official in an official institution such as the Ministry of the Near East, etc.

On the original date of the letter, it was written in a different pen "1935", probably in order to use the recommendation in later years.

In 1924 Jabotinsky settled in Paris and moved to there the Razsweit newspaper, which was its editor-in-chief. In April 1925, representatives of the "Jabotinsky Supporters" groups concentrated in Paris, calling themselves for the first time the "Revisionist Zionists", an organization formed by the "Revisionist Zionist Alliance" (in short: the ZHR), founded that year at a global founding conference in Jabotinsky in Paris. During his stay in Paris, Jabotinsky joined Dr. Shmuel Perlman (later the editor of the Haaretz newspaper), who owns a publishing Book house called "HaSefer", as a partner. Together, as part of the publication, the two published textbooks and reference literature in Hebrew for students.
