Historic Court Ruling of the Delegation Led by the Imrei Emet' to Make Peace in the Holy Land
'Ruling' from the rabbis of Poland who visited the Land in order to make peace between the two camps of G-d-fearing Jews, Rabbi Kook on one side and Rabbi Sonnenfeld on the other. Printed while they were still in Jerusalem. Adar, 1924.
Background: Following the rumours that reached Poland about Rabbi Kook and his tendency towards freethinkers, a delegation set out to the Land of Israel whose members consisted of three of the geonim of Poland: The "Imrei Emet, " the Admo"r of Sokolov and the gaon of Bendin. The purpose of the delegation was to confirm or rule out the claims. Many articles were written about this delegation; this is not the place to go into detail. Even before the rabbis' return to Poland, they published this legal ruling which determines the order of community administration in the Land.
