Pitka from the Kabbalist Rabbi Asher Zelig Margaliot

Note in the handwriting and signature of the Kabbalist Gaon Rabbi Asher Zelig Margaliot. Sent to Rabbi Nachum Chaim Zahan from Tiberias.

The kabbalist rabbi Asher Zelig Margaliot (1894-1969): Learn the wisdom of Kabbalah from the greatest Kabbalists of the generation. his first rabbi was Rabbi Avraham Simcha Horowitz, the Admor of Barnov, and as a young man was the bahal tephila in his Beit Midrash in the Beit Yisrael neighborhood. Rabbi Asher Zelig served the Rav from Barniv until his death, on the 15th of Adar 1916. His second rabbi was Rabbi Chaim Shaul HaCohen Dweck, at his yeshiva (Rehovot HaNahar Yeshiva), in the Bukharan neighborhood, where he studied Kabbalah. In 1925, on the mission of Rabbi Chaim Shaul, the Riaz' traveled to Damascus and prostrated himself there on the grave of Rabbi Chaim Vital. The third rabbi of Riaz' was the "Saba Kadisha" Rabbi Shlomo Eliezer Alfandari. It is said that the "Saba Kadisha" did not shake hands with anyone other than the Admor of Munkacs and Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, but on the eve of the Sabbath, after the evening prayer, when he spoke Torah with Riaz', until the time the stars came out according to rabenu tam method, Went out of his way and extended his hand and sent him home. The Riaz' worked to publish Rabbi Alfandari's responsum, and also published his history in the introduction to the Shulchan Aruch.

He was in close contact with the Chazon Ish and exchanged letters with him, and exchanged letters with the Admor Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar and was with him with great friendship. also was connected to Meron and Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, and he would come to his grave several times a year, and celebrate the day of Lag B'Omer, wearing the Shtreimel and Shrien clothes. He loved the Halakha tradition, and thousands of children lost their headscarves under the silver numerals that were tied to his neck with a gold chain while the orchestra played "Osher Zaligis Nigun" (Yiddish: the voice of Asher Zelig, known as the "True Moses" ). among his books, several books on Rabbi Shimon bar Yohai and Rabbi Elazar his son.

Stains. Good condition.
