Canvas map with printed photographs depicting the Palmach's role in the War of Independence, and the Palmach song. Late 1940s, or early 1950s.


To the right and left is the Palmach emblem beside a photograph of Palmach soldiers on a tank, below left is a convoy of Palmach soldiers.


In the early stages of the War of Independence, the Palmach was the backbone of the Yishuv's military force, played a major role in the battles in the north and center, and carried mainly the burden of defending the Negev, Until the Israel Defense Forces finished enlisting and organizing for combat.
