Germany: Commemoration of German Revolution, 1848; by Gottfried Drentwett; struck in bronze; size: 37.5mm; weight: 17.4g; medal align. Obverse: legend "Errungenschaft Des Bayrisch: Volkes" ('umlaut' on "Y", not "A"), ['Achievements of the Bavarian Peoples']; 8 wreaths each highlighting key accomplishment of the revolution, one of which is "emancipation of the Jews". Reverse: two men released from shackles shaking hands & swearing oath over "Constitution"; legend "Vereinigung Für Volkes Rechte - Für Volkes Wohl."
