Moshiach's Sefer Torah. Lubavitch Rebbe's Appeal letter & Special Form. Holocaust - 1942
On the night of Simchas Torah 1942, the Lubavitch Rebbe "Rayatz" spoke to the Chassidim of writing a Sefer Torah expressly for the purpose of greeting Moshiach.
At that time, the Jewish people were suffering terribly all across Europe, struggling through more horrifying afflictions than anyone could have imagined would ever occur. In those darkest of times, the Frierdiker Rebbe initiated new efforts to awaken all of his Jewish brethren to return to Hashem, seeking to seize an opportunity to bring about the ultimate Redemption. Thus did the project to write a special Sefer Torah to greet Moshiach commence.

Here are 2 original documents related to this great project.
1. A letter from the Rebbe's Shliach, Rabbi Shlome Yehuda Leib Eliazarov, informing about a telegram he received from the Lubavitcher Rebbe regarding the involvement of all our Jewish brothers in the writing of a "Sefer Torah to greet Moshiach which is being implemented now by the Rebbe Shlit"a". The letter is signed by Rabbi Shlome Eliazarov and Rabbi Avigdor Orenstein, the two pillars of the Jewish settlement in Chevron, both avid Lubavitch Chassidim.
A special form for Register for participation in the Sefer Torah project, with details like how many letters and which posuk, parsha and sefer the participant wants to donate. The form will be sent to the Rebbe Shlit"a
