TALLEYRAND-PÉRIGORD CHARLES MAURICE DE: (1754-1838) French Diplomat and Statesman. Prime Minister of France July-September 1815. L.S., `Ch Mau Talleyrand´, two pages, folio, n.p., n.d., in French. Talleyrand signs at the base of a copy of a letter received by Talleyrand `..letter from Citizen Schimmelpenninck, Ambassador and extraordinary and plenipotentiary Minister of the Batavian Republic to the French foreign affairs Minister´. The document refers to the cargo of a ship which the Batavian government claims as his, the plenipotentiary Minister reminding Talleyrand `No need to remind you Citizen Minister how many times and with which interest I have talked to you, in the name of the Batavian Republic, about this affair and to whom belongs exclusively this cargo. You also know that I had the honour of mentioning this matter during my meeting with the First Consul who has always supported our cause
