The Gaon Rav Yisrael Velletz, Av Beis Din of Budapest and author of Divrei Yisrael Responsa. Of the Greatest Rabbonim of Hungary in the generations before and after the Holocaust. Born in year 5647, he was a Disciple of the "Shevet Sofer" and other Gedolim in Hungary. From year 5680 he was a Rav in Budapest. In year 5710 he made Aliya to Eretz Yisrael. Some of his works: Divrei Yisrael Responsa- 3 volumes and sefer Chok LeYisrael ("The Chassam Sofer and his Disciples", page 589)

A number of his handwritten lengthy notations in sefer.
In one of his notations he goes into a discussion about the language used in the "Leshem Yichud" preperatory recitation before donning Tefillin.

Sefer Toras Chaim - Novellae and Explanations on the Shulchan Aruch and its commentaries, by Rav Yaakov Shalom Sofer, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of בעפסט, son of the Gaon known as the "Machaneh Chaim". Paks 5657-5660 [1897-1900]. One of the goals of the author was to save the author of "Olas Tamid" from the Magen Avraham's critique.
