Historical Financial Deed, about the First Book Printed in Jerusalem! – [1856]
A large certificate, apparently handwritten by the scribe of Kollel HaPerushim, Rabbi Yosef Yoel Rivlin.
The document contains an arbitration between the well-known printer rabbi Yisrael Bak and the successors of Rabbi David Tevil of Berlin about the printing of the Zohar.
The document indicates that he bought a certain amount of books and his successors found out that some books were missing, what caused a monetary dispute whose results appear in the document before us.
42X27 cm. relatively large format for such an early document.
Good condition.
