L'Yesharim Tehilla RaMCaL, Ethical drama written by R. Moshe Chaim Luzzato (RaMCHaL), in honor of the marriage of his student R. Yaakov De Gavish and Rachel De Vega Enriques. This is a particularly unusual work, with many mystical secrets.
R. Moshe Chaim Luzzato (1707-1746), was born in Padua, Italy into a distinguished family. His genius was obvious from a very early age, and as a young man he was already well known for his complete mastery of the entire Biblical, Rabbinic and Kabbalistic literature. Though most well-known for his sefer, Mesillas Yesharim – perhaps the most popular mussar work in Jewish literature – the main focus in most of his numerous works was on Kabbalah. Up until today, his profound works continue to touch and inspire Jews of all groups.
