Yitzhak Frenkel-Frenel - Job/Iyov, oil on canvas. 91.5cm x 72.5cm Measurements with frame: 116cm x 96cm Measurements of light fixture: 34cm width x 10cm depth Befitting the story of Iyov, this painting is incredibly powerful, emotive, dark and deep with meaning and interpretation. This is a grandiose painting (in size and in quality), truly fit for a museum and meant to be displayed in a special place. Frenkel-Frenel (1899-1981) was born in Odessa and moved to Palestine/Israel in 1919. He is considered one of the most important Jewish "École de Paris" painters. He presented his work in one-man shows in museums and galleries all over the world.
