The Historical Letter of the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ulman, the Yeriot Shlomo, Protecting the Sanctity of Israel and Asking to Distribute the Letter in Hebrew and Deutsch! – Historical Discovery!
Letter handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ulman Av Beit Din of Makova, to his disciple.
In the letter, he writes sharply against the criminals who wanted to desecrate the Torah, asking that the letter be sent to other leading rabbis, such as the Ketav Sofer of Pressburg and Rabbi Yehuda Assad of Szerdahely, and maybe even translated into Deutsch so as to be understood by everyone.
According to issue 24 of "Alei Zikaron" pp. 16-18, he is referring to the matter of a man who married a forbidden woman and the couple threatened that if they were separated, they would convert to anther religion.
