Large Collections of Programmes and Tickets – Plays and Concerts in Palestine/Israel

Approx. 110 programmes and approx. 40 tickets for plays and concerts. Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, ca. 1920s to early 1950s.
The collection contains tickets and programmes for plays of "HaBimah", "HaOhel", "HaMatateh", the "Li-La-Lo" theater, the Palestinian Opera, the Palestinian Philharmonic Orchestra, the "Popular Palestinian Opera" and other cultural institutions which operated in Palestine during the British mandate and in Israel during its early days. Appearing on many of the programmes are illustrated advertisements for businesses that operated in the country during those years.
Enclosed: eight booklets with plays, parts of plays and opera songs.
Size and condition vary. Good-fair overall condition. A small part of the programmes are in fair-poor condition, with missing leaves, worming, and closed and open tears.
