Handwritten Section of Sefer on Parchment- Rare Section of the Revayah's Sefer
Handwritten Section of sefer on parchment- which was removed from binding of a book. A section from the Halachic sefer of Rav Eliezer ben Rav Yoel Halevi (Revayah). One of the greatest Ashkenazic sages during the time of the Tosfos.
Rav Eliezer son of Rav Yoel Halevi (around 4900-4980 [1140-1220]). Born in Mainz (Magenza) and lived most of his life in Bonn. A disciple of his father, Rav Yoel and son-in-law of the Revan and Rav Meshuel Hachassid- father of Rav Yehuda Hachassid. Held close contact with the "Rokeach". Of his greatest disciples is the "Or Zaruah". His sefer, "Piskei Revayah was printed in its entirety only a few years ago.
The section is of chapters 993-994- attached is the written opinion of the expert who reviewed the section and was thereby able to fill in 4 words missing from the handwritten source in the Bodleian Oxford.
