The great Gaon Rav Yaakov Berlin (5468-5510) Of the great Geonim of Fiorda and a Rosh Yeshiva in Fiorda. Disciple of the Gaon, the "Shev Yaakov". A friend and comrade of the Gaon, the Zichron Yosef, who testifies that he was the "lion of the group". The Be'er Yaakov and the Zichron Yosef refer to each other many times in their writings (see "Hayeshiva Harama BeFiorda" part 1, pages 446 and 62). Two of his writings have been published: Be'er Yaakov and Zichron Yaakov.
