Judean Pontius Pilate ancient AE Pruta coin year 17, 30-31 AD, G/AF, Hen-1342
Roman Provincial coinage (Roman procurators) > Judea > Pontius Pilate (26 - 36 CE): AE Pruta (15.5 x 14.75mm, 1.85g), dated year 17 (30/31 AD); obverse: year letters LIZ within wreath ( cherubed leaves similar to Hen-1343); reverse: rightward facing lituus & legend TIBEPIOY KAICAPOC ("of Tiberius Caesar") around. Reference: Hen-1342; good/about fine, obverse a little off center, reverse mostly centered but legends missing as flan is small; medallic alignment, slightly rotated.
