Passages of the Composition 'Shoresh Yishai' by Rabbi Shlomo Alkabetz – the 16th Century?
A folded leaf, written on four of its pages, in western orderly script, without corrections. Apparently, this is a very early copying which was done close to the author's lifetime, possibly even during his lifetime!
The text is part of the "Shoresh Yishai" commentary authored by Rabbi Shlomo A;kabetz on the Scroll of Ruth.
This commentary was printed for the first time in Kushta in 1561 and later in Lublin in 1597.
There are lingual and textual variations in several words between the manuscript and the Lublin printed edition and the new Jerusalem edition 1992, which was proofread after a copy by the author to which he added handwritten additions.
Good condition. Typical, reasonable wear.
