Rare and unique! Ancient pages handwritten with an abbreviation of psaks of the Rosh, with important changes from the printed version—15th century
Four pages written on both sides in old Sefardi handwriting, with a copying of “Kitzur Psakei HaRosh” written by his son Rabbeinu Yaakov, Ba’al HaTurim. The pages include the end of hilchot Sefer Torah, simanim of halachot mezuzah, tefillin, and some of nedarim. Rare, unique copy with changes from the printed version (see for comparison the wording in the printed Talmud Bavli, Oz v’Hadar edition). When you look at these changes you see that the wording in the print is mistaken and the manuscript before us is definitely the right words! Examples of the text changes: In this manuscript: "he who places the mezuzah blessed asher kideshanu likvo’a mezuzah, the mezuzah needs to be made of kosher klaf or gvil.’ In the printed version: "written as a letter." The law of the parchment is lacking from here! In this manuscript: "written as a letter, not thoroughly checking for omissions and additions, pasul" in the printed version "written as a letter, not thoroughly checked for omissions, pasul.” Spanish writing, sofer script. 15th century. Aligned and neat writing. Main words are bold and square. On the sides of the columns, in some places, glosses of individual words in later and different writing. Size of each page: 30X20 cm. Stains, moth holes, moisture marks and various wear. Fair general condition - good.
