Printed proclamation in appeal to the Jews of Melbourne (Australia) to respond to Rabbi Chiam Ozer Grodzinski’s plea and contribute for the purchase of Matzot for the poor of Russia, and an invitation to an assembly for this matter.
Signed in print: “Rabbi Y. L. Gurewitz”, Melbourne, 1933.
Rabbi Yosef Lipman Gurewitz, native of Vilna, was active in the Va’ad HaYeshivot lead by the Ga’on Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski. In 1933 was appointed as rabbi in Melbourne, and corresponded regularly with Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski.
