Passover Haggadah. Amsterdam, Proops Press, 1712. Complete Copy with Entire Map and Original Leather binding
Passover Haggadah with commentaries by Abarbanel and by others, with pictures and a map of the Land of Israel. The haggadah includes both Ashkenazic and Sephardic versions, with laws and customs in three languages: Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino.
This is a copy of the famous Amsterdam Haggadah with the original binding. The haggadah was printed for the first time in 1695, and then another edition in 1712 with slight changes. The map was printed with the year detail 1712.
Two title pages, the first with a drawing of Moshe and Aharon, and Moshe at the burning bush. Many other pictures appear on the leaves of the haggadah. The pictures were made with a copperplate technique - this is one of the first Hebrew books which started using copperplate instead of woodcut.
The haggadah includes a map of the Land of Israel including tribal divisions and a chart of the desert journeys, and a list of the Children of Israel's encampments. With a drawing of a boat and pictures aside biblical verses depicting the Land flowing with milk and honey. Signature of "Avraham bar Ya'akov" -  this is Avraham ben Ya'akov Hager, renowned artist who also drew the pictures in the haggadah.
Regarding this haggadah and the drawings with the map, see: HaHaggadah HaMetzuyeret SheBaDefus, Areshet, III, 1961, page 24. Ya'ari 73; Otzar HaHaggadot 120. Map: Laor 876.
