Archive of Israel David Beit HaLevi (Rzepkowiez), author of biography of Jews of Kalish and additional books. Born in Pietrekov-Kvibek in 1888 and immigrated to Eretz Israel in September 1920.
Achieve of enormous volume, containing thousands of handwritten documents, including drafts of biography book on Rabbi Yom Tov Lipman Heller; drafts of handwritten articles and lists; tales and Hassidic stories in handwriting and in print; letters which authorize the biography book of Jews of Kalish; letters which authorize the book on Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Chayut - numerous letters by librarians, institutes and known bibliographers (many letters by Avraham Yaג€™ari); hundreds of letters in Yiddish, sent to Beit HaLevi during the 1920ג€™s-1930ג€™s, majority from city of Kalish; many written upon stationery of Jewish businesses in Kalish; biographical lists to members of city of Kalish and lists in memory of deceased, eulogies, hundreds of handwritten leaves of sermons on weekly Torah portions, and additional material. Total of thousands of leaves, various sizes and conditions.
