Avner Gadassi is a singer and composer.
Gadassi began composing his songs in the 1970s while performing in family events and synagogues. In 1970 he won the Israeli national youth talent competition and two years later he recorded his first album. His music has always been a mixture of what may be termed as "ethnic soft-rock". He is one of the first to merge the "tempo bands" models with those of Jewish-Yemenite liturgy.
