The portfolio is dedicated to "Our Soldiers" and the inscription on the front cover reads "A soldier peers into the night. He is softly singing a song 'David, King of Israel'. The song carries his thoughts back to David and Goliath, from thence to our struggle. His thoughts turn into pictures, the pictures of this book".
[3] leaves + ten woodcut plates, 36 cm. First leaves and plates are in good condition. Some creases, slight stains and small tears. Paper portfolio in fair condition - torn into two, with folding marks, creases, tears and stains.
