A Belgian identity card from World War II period and additional personal documents from Poland belonging to Rachela Reich (née Dawidowicz), born in Krosno (1896), immigrated from Poland to Belgium in the early 1940s and perished in Auschwitz after being deported from Belgium in 1943.
1. A Belgian identity card in the name of Rachela Dawidowicz, ink-stamped with the words "Jood-Juif", a Star of David and inscribed "registered in the Jews' Registry". Issued in Berchem, Antwerp, on November 16,1941. Valid until November 16, 1943. 21.5X12 cm. Good condition.
2. Ketubah, written by hand on a simple paper leaf, folded into two, recording the marriage of the couple Zvi and Rachel from Krosno, Poland, on Tevet 16, 5682 (1922).
Approx.32.5X20.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Foxing.
3. Świadectwo Zaślubin [Marriage Certificate]. Recording the marriage of the couple Rachela Dawidowicz and Hersch Ya'akov Reich from Krosno on January 15,1922. Issued in 1925 in the town of Wieliczka.
34X20.5 cm, fair condition. Stains, tears, restoration with adhesive tape along the folding marks.
4. Świadectwo Urodzin [Birth Certificate]. Recording the birth of the child Salomon son of Hersch Zvi Reich and Rachela Dawidowicz in Krosno, on May 22, 1923. A certificate on behalf of the Jewish congregation registry in Wieliczka, issued on February 8, 1926.
Approx. 20X33.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains, tears, adhesive tape along the folding marks.
5. Certificate of graduation – commercial course in the Jan Pilch school of commerce. Krakow, 1947.
