Ten issues of the periodical "Blue Blouse", a periodical of a collective group of theater artists by the same name, which acted during the 1920s-30s in the Soviet Union. Issues no. 13-15, 18, 27-28 (double issue), 29-31, 33, 35.
The collective was founded around the idea of a "living newspaper" – plays based on passages from newspapers. Its members performed wearing plain clothes working in plants, workers' restaurants, bars, etc, intending to widespread the ideas of the Proletariat . The plays dealt with political and social issues, through poetry, satire, pantomime and folk dancing.
This periodical was published during the years 1924-1928, irregularly. Issues include passages from the repertoire of "Blue Blouse" groups, poems, satiric sketches, etc. and include photos and photomontages. The covers are designed in a modernistic style integrating photomontage works. Issues 22.5 cm. Condition varies (generally, good condition).
