Dita Liron is a postwar & contemporary Israeli artist.  She is a painter who works in series.

"Liron’s journey started more figuratively in a series of works titled

“In Killing Fields”. It dealt with faceless soldiers, anonymous death-bearing figures, and was created during the Iran-Iraq war. For the

sake of inner balance, that was the period she also created the

“Sunflowers” series. Each individual sunflower had a strong unique

identity with vivacious petals and colours - in stark contrast to the

unidentifiable soldiers, and the undifferentiating death caused by

war. This dichotomy marks the artist in a very early stage of her

creation, as one that integrates profound thought and analysis

into her work."
