Etching, portrait of Rabbi David ben Abraham Oppenheimer, created by Johann Balzer, after Johann Kleinhard. Bohemia, [1773].
Rabbi David ben Abraham Oppenheimer (Otzar HaRabanim 4696) born in Worms in 1664. Served as rabbi of Nikolsburg and chief rabbi of Moravia. Moved to Prague in 1702 where he served as chief rabbi. Passed away in 1736. His library, which included thousands of books and manuscripts, was acquired by the Bodleian Library.
17.5X11 cm. Good condition. Pasted on cardboard. Minor tear on upper margins. Minor spotting.
