A large handwritten leaf with a Piyut (liturgy) for the conclusion of Torah reading. [Modena], 1849.

“Vehayta zot lahem lezikaron…”. The liturgy, opening with the words “Shiru bekol sasson…” composed by [Eliezer Yona ben Mahalal] Castil Bolognesi and copied to this leaf, most probably, by “young Eliezer Coniliagni” (who signs his name and the year of writing on the bottom of the leaf). In the Columbia University Library Manuscripts Collection, is another manuscript by Castil Bolognesi of Modena - a wedding song named “Omer Zemirot”.
52X42 cm. Fair condition. Spotting and moisture marks. Folding marks, tears (tear along the vertical folding mark, with paper pasted to its reverse).
