Many signatures throughout the book of the famous Torah scholar Rabbi "Chaim Kitza", and many more signatures: "Shmuel Kitza"; "Meir son of Rabbi Chaim ---", "Asher Zelig son of Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf"; "Aharon Rothstein who is subservient to the authority of the Av Beit Din of Irsa"; and other ancient signatures. Rabbi Chaim Kitza (c. 1770-1850), Av Beit Din of Albertirsa (Irsa), Hungary, author of Otzar Chaim, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Kitza head of the Beit Din of Óbuda (Alt-Ofen). As early as the age of 13, he delivered public discourses in the Óbuda Beit Midrash in the presence of his teacher the Maharam Mintz and hundreds of Torah scholars and debated Torah study with courage and wisdom. In 1820, he was appointed Rabbi of Albertirsa succeeding his brother-in-law Rabbi Amram Chassida (Rosenbaum) Av Beit Din of Albertirsa who made Aliya to Eretz Israel. His son Rabbi Meir Schlesinger-Kitza served as rabbi of several communities and was a household member of Rabbi Moshe David Ashkenazi Av Beit Din of Tolcsva. Or Chadash is complete. Netzach Yisrael is missing 4 leaves in the middle. Or Chadash: 60 leaves. Netzach Yisrael: 23, 28-45, [1], 46-63 leaves (missing leaves: 24-27). 28 cm. Good-fair condition, detached leaves, wear and stains, minor worming and tears. Ancient, leather binding, worn and lacking spine.
