Letter of Torah novellae handwritten and signed by Rabbi Shimon Lichtenstein, Av Beis Din of Lechinta, written to Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Miller.
Rabbi Shimon Lichtenstein, Av Beis Din of Lechinta, was the son of Rabbi Baruch Benedit Lichtenstein, grandson of Rabbi Hillel of Kolomiya, and son-in-law of his uncle, Rabbi Yehuda Lichtenstein, Av Beis Din of Betlan. A disciple of the Kedushas Yom Tov of Sighet, Rabbi Shimon was rabbinically ordained by the Yad Yitzchak and Rabbi Mordechai Yehuda Lau of Unterdam. Beginning in 1907, Rabbi Shimon served as Av Beis Din and Rosh Yeshiva of Lechinta. He perished in the Holocaust.
