On Leaf 2 is the introduction of the author's son, Rabbi Yeshaya HaLevi Horwitz, author of the Shla HaKadosh: "Yeshaya...son of the Horwitz family said, I was a youth and accustomed to being with my father and I sought him every day…I saw his manuscript …teaching for all generations the way to bless the Birkot HaNehenin and Birkot HaTefillot…He named it Emek Beracha, because there G-d commanded the blessing…". The first printed writings of the Shla HaKadosh.
Two complementary copies: Copy 1 is lacking leaves 104, 116-117 (total of 3 leaves). Copy 2 is lacking leaves 128-130 (3 last leaves). Originally: 58, 61-66, 69-130 leaves. 18.5 cm. Condition varies, good-fair. Stains and wear, tears and damages to several leaves. Both copies have signatures and ancient ownership inscriptions "…Yuzpa Cohen", "…Yisrael E---', etc.]. Damaged bindings.
