Yalkut Shimoni. Part 1 - on the Torah, By Rabbi Shimon "Head of the preachers". Frankfurt am Main, 1687. Exquisite copy. Illustrated title page depicting Moses and Aharon, and David striking Goliath.
On Leaf 2 is the signature of "Natan --- son of Rabbi Shmuel Bloch" [Rabbi Natan Neta son of R' Shmuel Zanvil Bloch, who signed the letter of the Jerusalem Ashkenazi community, sent in 1635 to the Verona community. See Ya'ari, Sheluchei Eretz Yisrael, pp. 522-523].
