Two Silver Medals - Medal on Behalf of the Jewish Community in Hesse-Darmstadt, 1790 / Medal Commemorating the Establishment of a Jewish School in Breslau, 1791
1. Silver medal in honor of Louisa, princess of Hesse-Darmstadt, commissioned by the Jewish community following her husband's (Ludwig I, Grand Duke of Hesse) accension to the throne. 1790.
Obverse: Palm tree surrounded by the German legend "Grüne Stets Mit Neüer Kraft Dieses Wünscht Die Iüdenschaft" [Always Flourish with New Power. This is the Wish of the Jewish Community]. Reverse: legend, translated as "Long live Louisa… of Hesse-Darmstadt, 1790". Diameter: 30 mm. Friedenberg, p. 38.
2. Silver medal in honor of the establishment of the Jewish Wilhelmschule in Breslau, 1791.
Obverse: tree trunk from which is sprouting a branch, surrounded by a dedication to Duke Karl Heinrich von Hoym: "Vom Grafen Hoym Veredelt / 1791" Reverse: German legend surrounded by branches. Diameter: 21 mm.
