Tablecloth with a Star of David and 200 Embroidered Signatures – Zionist Women’s Organization – Birmingham (England), 1951
An embroidered tablecloth, presumably made by Jewish women from a Zionist organization in Birmingham. Birmingham (England), 1951.
A Star of David is embroidered in the center, surrounded by two golden circles and the caption"Nissan 5711 Birmingham Women Zionists, April 12th 1951". About 200 colorful signatures are embroidered around the symbol and in the corners. Approx. 218x169 cm. Good condition. Stains, creases and minor blemishes. A few names are written on the tablecloth in pen.
