Approx. 75 "Shanah Tovah" greeting cards, including photographed cards. Published by "Palphot", "Cosmos" and other publishing houses. Palestine, [ca. 1930s-early 1950s].
A quality greeting cards, some of them photographed, from the period of the Yishuv and the establishment of the State, many of them published by Palphot (established in 1934), depicting sights from the life of settlement and work, agriculture, defending the country and the army.
The cards show photographs of central structures and sites in the Yishuv, among them Tel-Aviv Port, and the port of Haifa, the building of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem, the Hebrew University, the National Library, Dizengoff Square in Tel-Aviv, the statue of the Roaring Lion in Tel-Chai and the settlement of Chanita; photographs of guards and soldiers; photographs of farmers, workers, fishermen and builders; photographs of pilots and seamen; and more.
Average size: 8x4.5 cm to 9x4.5 cm. Good overall condition. A few stains.
