22 postcards and 8 greeting cards with "Shana Tovah" greetings. Published by "Yehudiya", Z. Resnik and other publishers (most of them without the publisher's name), Poland and Germany, Palestine and elsewhere, [late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century (several cards are later)].
The collection contains "Shana Tovah" postcards and greeting cards decorated with flowers and birds, views, children and more; "Shana Tovah" postcards depicting biblical scenes; postcards depicting moments of Jewish life; postcards bearing pictures from Palestine; and more.
Among them: * "Shana Tovah" card, printed in gold on a blue transparency. * Postcard of "Palestine, for a happy New Year" (Hebrew). Its upper part opens like a book and in it, a paper strip is folded on which there are photographs of sites in Palestine. Warsaw: A. Gołubczyk printing press, [ca. 1920s]. * Postcard depicting the Kaparot ceremony. On its verso, the inscription "Misrachi Postkarte", Elul 1925" ['Mizrachi' Postcard]. [Germany?], 1925. * Two "Shana Tovah" photographed postcards bearing portraits of the senders. Tel-Aviv, [1930s].
Two of the postcards are undivided.
Approx. 6.5x8.5 to 15x9.5. Good overall condition. A few blemishes, creases and stains. Seven of the postcard were used.
