"Sifriyat Tarmil" (The Backpack Library) was a series of pocket-books edited by Yisrael Har, which was published by the Ministry of Defense. The series published books of the best world and Hebrew classics at an affordable price. The books were sold at the canteens of IDF bases as well as in prisons, governmental hospitals and public libraries.
