Popov Ivan Ivanovich (1862-1942) - Russian revolutionary-populist, writer. He edited the newspaper `Eastern review ‘and the magazine `Siberian collection`. In Moscow collaborated in Newspapers `Speech`, `Nov`, `Russian Vedomosti ‘and others. This publication contains `travel ‘notes about Italy on the following route: Moscow - Warsaw - Vienna - Milan - Bologna - Florence - Rome - Naples - Sicily - Pisa-Genoa - nice-Marseille - Paris - Cologne - Frankfurt-main - Leipzig - Berlin - Dresden - Moscow.

N. N. Sukhanov At the end of may 1917, on the recommendation of Yu. O. Martov, joined the group of Mensheviks-internationalists, but, according to Sukhanov, "in fact remained wild and in any case felt that way." A member of the Main land Committee since April, 1917; editor of the daily R. S. D. of the newspaper "New life" (published in 1917-1918, it was mainly attended by the Menshevik-internationalists faction of the S. D., writers of the journal "Chronicle", A. M. Gorky). Machined articles criticized the Interim government for the imperialist policy of the Bolsheviks and the social radicalism and demagoguery, called the "April theses" V. I. Lenin "shameless rebellious anarchist system".
